Trapped

With child and chained to a cold hearted man

Trapped

She carries life, a fragile glow,

A quiet strength he’ll never know.

Her body aches, her spirit worn,

Yet in her heart, a child is born.

The bottles clink; his world is loud,

He stumbles home beneath a cloud.

Her whispers fade, he doesn’t hear,

Her silent cries, her growing fear.

She’s tired, ill, and bound by vows,

A life that feels so heavy now.

But deep inside, a fire burns bright,

A mother’s love, her guiding light.

Trapped she feels, but not for long,

One day she’ll rise, unyielding, strong.

For in her arms, a hope will grow,

A reason to fight, to let him go.

And when she steps beyond the door,

She’ll find the life she’s longing for.

A brighter path, a clearer view,

A world of love, for her and new.

This is one way to be 'trapped' that seems to be good, but it is in how a person wants to see.
