A Journey from Darkness to Light

Trapped in a world of darkness deep,

My soul cries out, I cannot sleep,

No light, no hope, no sign of dawn,

I am lost, so forlorn.

My heart is heavy, burdened down,

By chains of fear, I wear a frown,

No way to escape, no path to take,

I am trapped, make no mistake.

But wait, a glimmer, a spark of light,

A ray of hope, shining so brightly,

It calls to me, it beckons me,

To rise, to fight, to be free.

I gather my strength, I take a breath,

I break the chains, I face my death,

For trapped no more, I am set free,

I am alive, I can finally see.

The world is mine, it's full of light,

I walk with purpose, with all my might,

No longer trapped, no longer bound,

I am free, I am unbound.
