Oh my soul, how to describe you in a color?

How to capture you in an array of words, when you are the fountain from which words form!

I often sit at the pool of self reflection, the place every surface becomes a mirror

Today, at high noon, the sun illuminated the pool of my thoughts

Casting ribbons of light upon the tension of the water

In it:

The Red of passion that sparks forth life

A vibrant color that can warm or burn, depending on the fuel it consumes

Yellow born from the dawning day

The suns smiling face that yawns with hope

A color that babies are born wearing, as if heaven wants us to know it is bright there

One hundred shades of green churn around each other like a kaleidoscope

Establishing themselves as individual and separate at the same time

And the shades of purple give a depth to every color present

Depth that says, “there is always more you cannot see”

Today, as I pondered over my pool of thoughts, I realized I am all of these things

A reflection and a witness,

The light and the shadow

A space where everything exists along side of nothing,

All depending upon where you look

I call this:
