The scene is torn apart. What we see from the window is not the world, but flowing lines of light and shadow, ripped apart by frantic speed. Things that were close yesterday are today mere optical illusions fading behind us. The view changes, our senses change, and we realize that our only certainty lies in our determination to move forward. Therefore, we must learn not to cling to the beauty of the moment, for the beauty of the train lies entirely in the way speed overwhelms the eye's memory.
