Too Many Lovers, Not Enough Love
The search for true love goes on

Too Many Lovers, Not Enough Love
Too many hands that softly touch,
But hearts that never feel too much.
Kisses like whispers, here then gone,
A fleeting dance, a hollow song.
Promises bloom but never stay,
Like morning dew that slips away.
Eyes that shine but never see,
What love could be, what love should be.
Names are spoken, then erased,
Warmth forgotten, time misplaced.
A thousand sparks that fail to glow,
Too quick to come, too fast to go.
Letters written, never read,
Dreams abandoned, left for dead.
The thrill of moments passing by,
But love’s true voice is lost to lies.
Hearts are open, but never wide,
Afraid of what may lurk inside.
Too many lovers in the night,
But love still hides beyond their sight.
So here we stand, again hope is gone.
With empty hearts no love for anyone.
Seems all the passion is dead not alive
WHY?
Too many lovers, not enough love

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
