The pain

Once so vivid and crystal clear

Has faded to a numbness I

Haven't felt for years

I watch

Now from a distance and laugh

At the visage of what you've become

The nothing that surrounds your

Dead heart and the jealousy that

Plagues your mind and soul that

I am everything you desire to be

Everything you will never be

And from my view point I watch

You fail to bring me down to you

And again I laugh at your pathetic attempt

But no worries...

Soon I will be gone

And when you realize your mistakes

Well...

It'll be too late

About the Creator

Catherine MacKenzie

I write about murders, and murderers. I write of thoughts, confusions, victories, defeats. Of love gained and love lost. Of life in all its multi-faceted glory.
