If tomorrow starts without me,
And you fall down and cry,
Then pick yourself right up
Stand tall and dry your eye.
Oh, do not keep your focus on
The things that’s left behind
Rather just remember
All the good and fun times
And when the pain swells up in hearts
Talk to friends about me
I’m not there in person
But trust me, there I’ll be
If you don’t see me tomorrow,
Then look at yesterday
Your memory of me
Will never go away
If tomorrow starts without me,
And I’ve fallen asleep
Do not be too upset
I’m only counting sheep

What a beautifully gentle poem for this challenge. My favourite lines are: “If tomorrow starts without me, And I’ve fallen asleep Do not be too upset I’m only counting sheep”💙
Very nicely done.
A beauty entry David, the compassion for those who would mourn and the message to uplift their hearts is one that we should all wish to leave behind 🤍🌟
This is beautifully written, David. Well done! I especially love this: “If you don’t see me tomorrow, Then look at yesterday Your memory of me Will never go away” 👏
