A ray of borscht, a pampushka's blaze
Seem to call for this settled evening
And the sunflower shines when walking
Under the lightening sun - free gaggles graze
Hands raze the loved crazy land
Filled in haze, full of passions
Quickly mazed, amazed, but stands
Before hardship, affliction
Wheats, corns, potatoes, pumpkins all wish
To run over the conflict and make
A better light, a better life - swish
The dished hearts will finally partake
Then restore into new leaves -
Next dawn bringing the towers
A forgotten strength that weaves
As the day star likes sunflowers
Time will recover

If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
