I woke up knowing that today something bad will happen

I know it in my gut

Last week it was a giant snake

The other day it was aliens

Oh my oh my I might die

I just hope it won't be too pie

I thought that growing up would be better

Then butterflies in my stomach

Or bees in my hair

But now I have black specks on my chin

And a hairy caterpillar growing below my nose

And I smell worse than my toes!

But it could be worse

That is what my parents always say

Just get through today

Because tomorrow's another day

Another day to be better

Another day to change the world

Another day to fight those aliens

And that giant snake

But not today

Those problems can wait

Because first I have to finish my homework
