Today, I did something for myself
Or how pearl white gives you warmth
By Strange & PoeticPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

I did something for myself today
I did not excused myself
As i left the gathering behind
Took my book and my silence
Sat on wooden stairs
I read to the sound of waves
Sand between pages
Admired the shades of gray,
and blue, and brown
I painted my nails pearl white
As seashells opened under the sun
I brushed my hair and tamed it
Wanted beach waves for myself
I applied some lotion
Orange and ginger scented
On my sunkissed skin
Strawberry tinted cheeks
Today, I did something for myself
