Seconds ago, the sullen sun set on the two of us… my exuberant furry companion and me. A fresh breeze embraces us, delivering welcome relief from the day’s oppressive heat. His typical stumbling and staggering along — apace with a sloth — has turned into trip-trapping, high-stepping, almost skipping along.

I like toasties (Jaffles in parts of Aust.) more than Haiku. Sourdough bread that holds a nest of sliced ham, indecently peppered and diced tomato and drowning in a pool of melty cheese. You have made me hungry - good job and congrats on the TS!

Oh my...I knew I read this already...but didn't reply or like. Fixing that now. I love everything about this. Cheese toasties are one of my favourite go-to meals, snacks, lift-me-ups, anything really! I also do a non-grilled version in a dry frying pan that is delicious. Add some ham for another layer of lovely flavour. This is a great haiku, Kristen! Well done on making me salivate...pal!
