To The Wind

A poem

Fall silent,

Fade away.

Listen,

But never speak.

Move carefully,

Quietly.

Silently over the floor.

No whisper of grass,

No breath of air,

To stir your surroundings.

Pack up your things,

Slowly, quietly.

Don’t say a word.

Step out the door,

Leave the cards in your wallet,

By the door.

Keys on the hook,

Cash in a backpack.

Catch a bus, a taxi,

And ride free.
