Yes, she was highly thought of and represented a turning point for the Royals in showing that stuffiness and detachment were not the way to win the hearts of your subjects, nor their respect. Our Royal family are now much more open and demonstrative as a result. The Queen may not have liked her much but I think she learned from her.
