To The Man Who Once Loved Me

I Still Love You

To the man who once loved me

Where did you go?

Where can you be?

***

I must accept that you left me

And it breaks my heart so.

I close my eyes and count to three.

***

My love, my dear, where can you be?

My heart aches and my hope is low.

From this despair, I must break free.

***

Our love was like a rooted tree

We nurtured it well and watched it grow.

Of this, I know that you'd agree.

***

You loved me once, you loved me free.

You've left and now the tears just flow,

Your love is the only key.

***

Death will approach me

As our love died long ago.

To the man who once loved me,

Where can you be?
