TO  ALL THE LITTLE THINGS

The ones we miss

from yesterday,

and the ones we diss, hiss, at today.

The warm brief hugs and embraces,

lasting a few moments,

forever ingrained in our minds.

To the little masks, blues

and puffs of heated breath, pinks.

The sound of nothing,

on a dark night,

nothing,

but the breeze of summer,

cool and calm at night, blues

sweltering and passionate at day, pinks.

To the leaves of a tree shedding in autumn,

unaware,

gently lulling to the breeze.

Hands and toes freezing

as winter oozes in,

like an orchestra,

finally,

playing soft music, blues.

To the feeling of emptiness,

little soft and gentle,

swaying with symphony,

fading away as the spring sunflowers bloom, yellows,

Hope as the roses flourish, pinks.

To the love we once had,

to their presence that is now an absence.

To all the little moments in life……

the ones we took for granted.

To all the occasions we miss in today,

and yearn for in tomorrow.

To the nights loved in company,

and the days lived in groups.

To the comfort found in community

and the peace bound in solitude.

To all the little things,

the sunsets in public, a display of vibrant hues

the rowdy crowds at weddings, ululations radiating love

the smiles and laughter, and the things in between.
