There are times that I feel

like a sprinter chasing a windmill

Life is a formidable challenge to my faith

I consider the milestones

I should have accomplished by now

Doubt whispers, you may be too late

I am unable to control this process

or the actions of others

I am in full control of how I react

It was a blessing to wake up this morning

Another day offers another chance

An enormous bridge burns behind me

This is my exodus, I wish love well

Before I can dance in heaven

I need God’s protection
