Extant species of my anxiety live—unwillingly
Conserved in my brain, my responses—classified not in
Linnaean taxonomy and Latin but by
Incidences medicine has made rarer, my fear-
Plaguing thoughts eclipsed with
Sounder, kinder logic trying to drive my overthinking
Extinct.
