To My Love,
It has been two weeks of me writing you, and still no reply. I deliver these letters to your door step, I don’t even know why… Are you reading them? I’m not really sure. This is absurd, ‘cause I’ve meant every word.
Every time the dusk settles my throat closes, heart quickens; as I know you’ll be arriving once the dark thickens. Just as I’m waking you’ll appear in a flash, out of nowhere my breath stops, heart suddenly snatched… Ehm! Look at me, gushing so frightfully- where are my manners? I’m sorry my child, I would love some answers!
How are you? How was your day, my ray? Did you obey your mistress? And you slept well, out of interests? I can’t stop fretting for you, my weary mind worries, why are you always in a hurry to shine on in a fury? Aren’t you scared, so bare, putting yourself out there like that? With little to no clothes on, what others will look at? Such a wildcat with your rare lustrous stare! Every time I see you my legs wobble, heart flared, I’m impaired on this cobble. Street after street I fly through to see you; and there, shining bright as day, I’m so raptured I just can’t look away!
Can you blame me, this radiant love, this flame? And it drives me insane, that I don’t even know your name: Elena, Clara, Lux, or Leora? Is it Zia or Thea? Pheobe or Noora? Ever since I first saw you I’ve become obsessed, you know this, it’s why I come dressed to impress.
You see the thing is, it’s true, I love you too. Just as your love for me must be- how can it not be true? Come with me my love, although our union is forbidden; what, a child with ribbon, a woman with chiton. But I am sickened to know I am to wed and start a family; while you’ll still be here shining handsomely, always unabandonedly.. Alas, there is nothing for us to do, but for now please respond! I must hear from you, before our yawns turn to dawn.
Please write to me my sweet, my radiant light! I will forever be yours in my heart.
With Love,
Ms. Ermine White
