To my daughter

dear daughter,

From the moment i saw you i loved you. more then any love i had ever known. I understood the depth of my own mothers love and now together and apart we all have grown.

I wanted to give you the worlds perfections and comforts yet shield you from its pains. I did my best to hold you through the storms and tried to teach you to apreciate the rains.

You learned some words and then you spoke and truly found your voice. You learned through trial and error how to make the smartest choice.

I wish i had words enough to tell you how truly proud of you i am. Though the road was rough and rocky i would do it all again.

The scraped knees and broken hearts and lessons learned did often sting. The mere thought of your smile and laughter throughout the years still makes my tender heart sing

Watching you grow into the strong woman you are today, makes all the struggle worthwhile though it turned my hairs all gray.
