I’m the man I am, because of you two,

I’m sure you know, this to be true,

Throughout my life, one things been clear,

The path I’m on, you did engineer,

I don’t know how, I’ll ever repay you,

As I know now, what parents go through,

There isn’t a day, I’m not grateful for,

My parents who, each day I love more,

I know the sacrifices, you both have made,

& the role in my life, you both have played,

I don’t have the words, to truly thank you,

And I know tough times, I’ve put you both through,

When I was down, you were always there,

And good times we had, many to share,

From travelling, on holiday,

To playing football, or watching plays,

There are so many, memories,

As parents you, are legendary,

I always hope, that I can be,

At least half the parent, you were to me,

I couldn’t have asked, for better parents,

Who taught me things, like perseverance,

For all the things, you’ve given freely,

From my heart I thank you, both sincerely.
