To Dad Through The Years

He was a gret dad

By Darla M SeelyPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

o Dad, Through The Years

Dad, through many years,

You saw me shed some tears.

Your love I know was true.

Thank you for being you.

“Love you” I did not hear

Right now I feel you near.

You taught me right from wrong,

To be patient and strong.

I wish you were with me.

My My friend you’ll always be.

Thank you for words you’d say.

You gave me hope each day.

You gave me some support

Both on and off the court.

Basketball’s what I chose.

I cried when I had lows.

Music you played by ear

Songs I loved to hear.

You worked hard on the farm

And kept us free from harm.

You made holidays fun.

We enjoyed every one.

You made us all feel glad.

I’m glad you are my dad.
