To be brilliant, black, and bold
To be brilliant, black, and bold

To the little black girl who's told she isn’t pretty enough, she isn’t smart enough, she talks to much, and that she isn’t good enough.
Take pride, embrace your color, and silence the negative opinions.
You are enough.
Black is bold, black is intimidating, black is the color that everyone loves.
When it comes to being a black woman, why is it so difficult?
Black women are kind, loving, creative, driven, and eager to change the world.
Black women are misused, belittled, and told to be grateful with less.
Black women, are the least protected but are the most educated and the most capable.
And now,
To be black, brilliant and bold.
Define who you are.
Accept who you are.
And continue to succeed despite the odds.
Love yourself, set your boundaries, and never apologize for who you are.
The world can adjust.
The world can accept you.
You can thrive.
World, get comfortable.
The black, brilliant, and bold woman is here to stay and she knows her worth.
Embrace your blackness and take Pride.
