On graduation day, the sun should shine,
But shadows stretch across this heart of mine.
The gowns and caps, they shimmer bright,
Yet in my chest, there grows a fright.

What if eyes that once held pride
Turn away, ashamed, to hide?
What if whispers fill the air
Of all I lacked, of all unfair?

The stage, a mountain steep and high,
Each step feels heavy, will I fly?
Or stumble, fall, before their gaze,
Lost in judgment, lost in haze?

The fear of disgrace looms large and wide,
What if I fail to match their stride?
Yet through the storm, I hold my own,
A heart that knows how much it's grown.

For in the end, it's not their say,
But what I've learned along the way.
