’Tis Time

Change in the air

By Elizabeth ButlerPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Crisp Autumnal hues,

Transform before my eyes.

Burnt oranges turned frosty,

And morning dew coming through.

Days are getting shorter,

Darkness lasting longer.

Pumpkin picking hayrides,

Turning into magic wonder.

Mild falling weather,

Now icy to touch.

A loss of animal grazing,

And leaves that love to crunch.

First white snow starts to form,

Upon cold window ledges.

Another reason to stay inside,

To wrap up toasty warm.

Twigs upon their branches,

Frozen blocks of ice.

An icicle tree hanging,

That nature has intended.

Harvest now has come and gone,

We celebrate in awe.

A new year is approaching,

’Cos Winters finally here.
