My tired has become tired
And I am tired of being tired
I have welcomed sleep
But it comes as an uneasy guest
Redying to leave me
And when I think I've captured it
It tosses me restlessly
And I am left bruised and confused
Of why I have stayed awake
When my eyes burned with need
When my soul reaches out desperately
For some semblance of peace
But sleep remains an uneasy guest
So my tired has become tired
And I'm tired of it all
