a splash of joy shot
before me on the carpet.
rainbows from sun-kissed
crystals hanging in the window;
tiny arcs;
splotches
of brilliant colors
flashing, moving.
color smiles in
winking frequencies of light.
the periwinkle-lavender
hues my favorite,
but
the orange lights my fire.
the pink chose the middle
like a dot over an i;
an eye in the rainbow arc
like a spring bloom,
from a crystal in the window,
kissed by the sun.

Great
Love the poem and the pic looks like two exotic birds on a rainy gray surface.
This is a lovely poem, Andrea! I love the photograph too. We hang crystals in our windows as well and we both love it when the colors dance about our room. Simple pleasures!
