Time Takes Its Toll
But It Sure Has Been Fun
The road leading to me
Has been quite a journey
Some brought me peace
Mingled deeply with worry
I’ve basked in the sunshine
And have been lost in the darkness
I’ve been treated unkindly
And spoiled like a princess
I’ve laughed till Ive cried
And Ive cried through my laughter
I’ve lost those that I love
But will see them in the after
I've seized the day
And wasted the moments
I’ve dues left to pay
Ones I’ll not soon forget
My body is changing
Making way for a new path
My looks, rearranging
But that’s not what I’m made of
So, here’s to the wrinkles
Proof that I am still kicking
Letting life give me tingles
While the clock keeps on ticking
