Time

Stopped

By Kristina HenryPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

If moments

were minutes,

then ours

would be hours;

in one second

our eyes stopped time.

Passion

provoked by a peek,

dancing heart beats,

blushing cheeks,

knowing grins and lips licked—

Sublime.

There was beauty

and laughter,

a happily ever after.

A future,

imagine,

yours and mine.

With the warmth

of a woman,

time turned cold,

moment frozen,

only seen through

the corner of my eye.

Through the crowd,

to your arms

a worthy recipient of your charms.

A perfect fit,

perfectly yours

by design.

A fine line

when a moment

moves,

shattering time,

only to prove

a glance never intended

as mine.
