Time Flies

Buckle Up

Dear Fleeting Moment,

Before this one passes, I will try to say it fast

Don't' need no rosie colored glasses, to know it's hard to make one last.

You pass by, before we know it - the next one waiting there in line,

to press the hands a little faster, stealing moves from father time.

60 seconds blows by without warning, like a furious jet plane,

passengers like Ozzy Osborne, all aboard the crazy train.

Trying to beat the clock or tame it, no one has figured out just how,

to stretch it even a little bit - you have to live it now.

So, that was my 60 seconds, did I convey what's on my mind?

If not then, come back in a minute, and I'll give it one more try.

Here for the duration,

Life's Apprentice - K

Ahh- love this one, Kelli! “you have to live it now” Such a powerful line! 💫

  • A beautiful, whimsical tilt at Process Theology! Every moment a little packet of time moving to the next & to the next & on & on. Ah, Kelli, you take me back to my days in seminary. Now if we just had some of the "John Locke" graffiti scribbled inside the door of the bathroom stall, all would be complete. (Loved the poem, btw.)

  • This is the ultimate truth. Time just doesn't get tired, does it
