Tigress

Raw Color

By Krystal RoarkPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

A tigress through pain and sense of shame

Purple stripes stretch across cream flesh

Mostly hidden behind clothes out of frame

Wear them loud and wear them proud

Your fierceness is not the thing to blame

Scream out this is me, THIS IS ME!

Fist to heart, I am not one you can tame

They are there, my badge of honor

Blue-purple etches that need acclaim

I am proud of that which my body can do

The infertility, the loss, the shame I overcame

A magma rage though my heart and soul

Like bright red embers setting my flesh aflame

Leaving behind a network of etched art

inspirational
