Tick Tick Tock
Here I am, standing in the darkness.
Time races by
Seeping away
Aging and then ceasing
Bodies decay
Worms in and out
Time passes
The world changes
But we don’t
Age after age
Same shit
Same hate
Same judgments
Death, killing, maiming, blaming
Humans lost in time
Cycle after cycle
Destruction, devastation
Wars
Hate
Rape
Politicians lying
Nature everywhere is dying
Guns with rights
Classism
Racisms
Sexism
It’s all around me
Seeping out of every corner
Puddling at my feet
Suffocating
All the fear
All the hate
Age after age
It’s always the same
Humans lost in time
Stuck in a loop
When will it stop?
Tick tick tock
Time races by
Seeping away
Yet we stay the same…
I’m screaming
No one hears me
Hate and fear surrounds me
Trying to keep my light
Shine in the dark
Shine bright
Social media
Finger-pointing
Earth dying
More politicians lying
Keep shining
Weighted down
Darkness everywhere
Keep shining
Is there anybody there?
Keep shining
In the darkness
In the cold
Keep shining
While others are lying
Hating
Killing
Deliberating
Keep shining
Work harder
Make less
Pay more
Keep shining
Animals dying
Mother Earth suffering
Decaying
She’s all alone
But
I’m here
Still Fighting
Still Trying
Still Shining
