Eyes plastered open
Iris rapidly shrinking
Face suddenly veiled
Shrouded, unreadable
Left this plane
Slipped the ground
Heels pounding
Rhythmically
Caught up in a cloud
Riding the peaks
Narrowly avoiding
Bone-crushing troughs
Destruction wrought by
The sound of air
Breaking
The shape of water
Spun like cotton
Color seeping from the spray
Blue grey ombré
Armored to the cosmic nines
Atmospheric plates
Encrusted with
Electric gems
Lighting the night
With heat and passion
Resounding
Thunder rolling
Across fertile plains
To the place
Where my heart
Longs to be
Opening heart and throat
a deep rumbling groan
Issuing forth
From the deepest recesses of my heart
Sucking up
Every cloud of vibrance around
Letting out a piercing cry
Clinging on
To the wailing chords
Inside my mind
Tone evening out
To a haunting, desolate aria line
Words
Just sounds
In the shape of ideas
Crafted in sumptuous shades
crimson and sage
Pain shining out
Like light in waves
Co-mingling
With my resonant projections
The wilting land faltering beneath me
Sounding out my siren song
Compelled by pulsing vibrations
Plucked on strings of electric breeze
Shocking me
Sending waves of sensation
Washing over
My disengaged physique
Starting in the red clay dirt
I dig deep
Shuffling and stepping up
Building momentum
Grounding my core
Propelling my essence
Into the ether
With only air
And the speed of sound
To carry me miles more
