Through the shadow, hope despite!

Through the darkness of where I dwell,

In the shadow of a caverns shell,

"Drip, drop! Pitter, Patter!"

Think of what, and that all that could matter,

The consideration of what could be,

And of what is and is not unclear,

Let the heart not be forgetful,

To neither worry, nor constantly fear.

Through the darkness of where I dwell,

Where hope defers and uncertainty could swell,

The constant ifs, and who's, and hows?

To distract from the here and nows!

Though the darkness may linger,

The shadows, and a sure surprise!

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I know the morning sun will rise!
