Through the Fire

He walked with us

By Rowan Finley Published 6 years ago 1 min read

We walked through the fire at one time,

But tonight it simply warms our backs.

Living day by day, life was rough,

But, life seems better now.

Cheers to a new year without fear,

Praying for many blessings,

More ventures, and more memories.

That fire refined us and has now set us

Apart.

If we are ever led into the fire again,

Then we will surely depend,

On our Dear Friend,

Our one True Hope,

Our Gentle Guide,

To get us through every season,

Down every valley way,

Through every storm,

Until he leads us home.

Home, to where the ones who have gone before us now reside.

Ahem ahem, am I allowed to read this? Just kidding 😂 This has such a comforting warmth. If life ever throws you back into the fire, at least you’ll come out even shinier, right? Also, does this mean we get s’mores?
