Through the Fire and the Rain

A Journey of Loss, Love, and Faith

By Graymore MacadPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

I have walked through storms with weary feet,
Fought battles unseen, felt hope deplete.
Held hands that trembled, wiped silent tears,
Carried the weight of love and fears.

I have prayed through nights, through breaking dawn,
Whispered pleas when strength was gone.
Watched the ones I loved slip away,
Begged for time, yet they couldn't stay.

I have loved with hands that bled,
Poured out my soul with words unsaid.
Clung to dreams that turned to dust,
Learned that faith is more than trust.

I have built my home on shifting sands,
Gave my heart with trembling hands.
Felt betrayal, wounds run deep,
Lost my way, yet dared to leap.

But I have found a light within,
Through shattered past and buried sin.
Through every loss, through every ache,
God was there; He did not break.

He turned my grief to songs of grace,
Gave me courage to embrace
The love that heals, the love that stays,
Through endless nights and breaking days.

So I will walk, though paths seem dim,
For even pain still leads to Him.
And when I fall, when prayers seem vain,
He’ll guide me through the fire and rain.
