Through day and night, love, despite.

I have seen a fair amount of days in my life,

With either in blissful joy or constant sorrow, brighter skies or stormy weather,

Day and night, brighter mornings, to the coldest stroke of midnight,

Yet, despite all wellness or the affliction that creeps near the hearts of men,

Whether through some horrid disease, or the ailment of fear,

That prevents the soul to receive that which every heart yearns for,

May one thing be brought to memory,

Let my heart bring one thing to recall,

That through brighter days or darker nights,

Through the scorn of summer, to the solitude in the bitterness of a winters storm,

Let my heart be soft enough to care tenderly,

And to love deeply, no matter who or what I or it may face...
