Throne

By: Aneisha Brackens

I wanted solid, but you were just see-through.

I'm cold towards situations, lukewarm on the people.

Never a balance, we can never be equals.

Today's lust,

Tomorrow's distrust.

You inhale and exhale just to be in your zone,

Releasing me is prone,

Tried to say your canvas was blank,

But I

Can't even paint you,

Your true colors have shown,

Now I'm gone off the liquor,

You could've left me alone.

I'm too tired for this, let me retreat to my home.

Legs crossed, heart locked

Sitting in peace at my throne.
