Three little words

That I never see.

Those three little words

Are too rare, indeed.

***

Just three little words

I wish I could hear.

Those three little words

Spark far too much fear.

***

Three little words

That I've said so often.

With those three little words

All the blows one could soften.

***

Even three little words

Can be so hard to say.

Yet, these three little words

Could make one's whole day.

***

Those three little words

Make us vulnerable, weak.

So these three little words

Have become hard to speak.

***

Just three little words.

Please don't string me along.

Say those three little words.

Just say, "I was wrong."

About the Creator

Maia Gadwall the metAlchemist

I fell in love with speculative fiction and poetry many years ago, but I have precious little time to write any. Then, I went crazy and started a cult called metAlchemy, or meta alchemy. I revere energy of all brands, esp. good, kind chaos.
