Thoughts reflected in the water
your beauty, bestowed.
By lover of literaturePublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

A game of water played,
In its reflection I laid.
Not my weariness it showed,
But your beauty, bestowed.
I dare not meet your gaze,
Fearful of sinking in the haze.
My heart racing, thoughts astray,
Quickly pouring it all away.
In this moment's plight,
Water becomes a messy sight.
Yet my heart remains restless,
Unable to pour out this fondness.
The poured water may fade,
But memories refuse to evade.
Restless, my heart is entwined,
With this longing that binds.
