25.) THRILLS,
Beautiful and bountiful,
Empty hands are always full.
Wishful and blissful,
Even deeper still.
Fearful and cheerful,
Enjoy your free will.
Hopeful and helpful,
Feel those hands fill.
Delightful or despite-full,
Life is full of thrills.
26.) EXPANSE,
Waiting for my chance,
To explore the expanse,
Staring into the distance,
I reach for my assistance,
I AM this existence,
It's with chance I dance,
Opening the expanse.
27.) SHARE WHAT'S DIFFERENT,
Into the world I stare,
Trying not to compare,
Remaining aware,
Of the beauty I share,
Sharing this beautiful air,
I'm thankful to be here,
How deeply I care,
For the journey we share,
Staring deeper I swear,
Life isn't something to compare,
It's different everywhere.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
