About the Creator

Kristen Balyeat

Words fly to me on the wind, bump into me as I'm strolling the city, splash me in the face while I rest by the river, and shake me awake in the middle of the night—I’m humbly one of the vessels they use to come to life.

Also, i love you:)

Wow! I sensed what was coming then bam! Softened by the lilies. I can’t put into words the impact of that last line. That’s all. Congratulations ❤️

Heartbreaking. You took your reader on a journey with a few simple items. Beautiful! Also, shout out to PB and pickles. Underrated and delicious!

Been there…. Emotional ……. no matter what, the pain always has a spot in your heart that will be there to Eternity! Beautifully and painfully revealed!!

Ah, shit. Just. yeah. This is as well done as it is as heartbreaking. I know it's based on or at least relates to personal experience but feels like it could also have been what the couple in my Sat on a Bed unspoken story were buying. Heartbreaking, friend. Love it from a creative point of view and it's important we speak more about these things, but don't love that it happened or happens :(

    Dear K ~ Pickles/with Peanut Butta' a lifetime on my hips ~ 'j'

  • Even sensing from the trigger warning where this was going, it still weighed heavily at the end. For any who have gone through this, prayers.

Oh Kristen. This was heartbreaking. I feel so sad, but the way you've written this is just so captivating and beautiful.

This was utterly heartbreaking. Just devastating. You shared the story so well though, able to say so much so implicitly and creatively. Well done

    The white Lilies.

  • This was so tragic and devastating! Who knew grocery lists would be able to punch me in the gut. You nailed this challenge!

Damn. I knew it was coming. But damn. That felt like a kick in the gut, Kristen. A truly fantastic entry.

This is powerful. Builds up a picture of hope and heartbreak with just a few words. Amazing Kristen

Extreme heartbreak. The white lilies help soften the blow to the ending of this roller coasters of a list. They are beautiful but can’t replace what could have been. So sorry, if this is true for you or someone you know. 💖

    This is heartbreaking amazing, 🥲

  • Cathy holmes2 years ago

Omg! This runs the gamut of emotions. Wow. If this is reality, I'm sorry. 🤗

This is a work of art, using positive and negative space to form a full picture, evoking strong emotions with what’s said and what’s not said, showing hope for the future, and the absence of that hope. This hits hard, but I’m glad. Hope you’re proud of this one. 🩷

Oh :(. So much said in so few words. Wow.

  • Dana Crandell2 years ago

Ow. A hard story in that one. Well done!
