Our lives feel strange

As we hope to grow wise

I think it's a shame

You and I are passersby

On different waves if I had to guess

In another place perhaps

You’d have seen my best

But don’t wait for me

So no need to stress

You can go when you need

I’ll just reset

Because there is no old me,

And there is no new

There is only this me,

Who learned and grew

And I enjoyed the time,

I spent with you

But who knows

If or when, I’ll see you again,

In this life or the next.
