"FINDING HOME"

Sunlight spilling across my skin,

a warm hush; the world pulling me in.

A clean swept sky, breathless and wide –

doors yield open.

Crowns remain untied.

~

One smile – my silk-spun raptor.

They never glimpse what’s curled. Fractured.

No game for waiting. The world – still baiting.

My love spun fine,

A waltz turned brine.

~

Spring splits soft, rose petals bruised.

A bride dressed in borrowed hues.

The dungeon laced in ivory grace.

A hush creeps near.

Stay still, my dear.

"Uncontrollable"

Emerald eyes –

mirrors that lie.

~

Curtains drawn,

Spark. Stage shorn.

~

Love – thick ash,

flames bright and thrash.

~

You fell from grace,

the path erased.

~

Uncontrollable.

Slick of black. Frostbite fable.

"DARK MIRROR"

You didn’t scream.

You didn’t beg.

No torch to the curtains,

no blaze on velvet floors.

You vanished –

no swinging doors.

~

Dark halls echo louder than thunder.

Fury ricochets – shards in the air.

You left me. Out there you wander.

Whip. Crack. Splintering hail…

Just me. Still reaching

strings battered. Breached.

~

You were my finest puppet.

A masterpiece of shame.

I choreographed the silence, threaded your spine with my name.

~

But nature. - the thief,

a vine-blooded curse,

cracking the walls, splitting the seams.

Loose hinges and looms.

Your absence dripped downward,

soaking the beams like wounds.

~

I was god.

Now walls rot.

My performance stage crumbles.

Dust shrouds our wedding frame.

wind gnaws the eaves

when it dares speak your name.

~

The strings, once levers, now lace my fists.

No one dangles.

No one left to dance
