This Female

This female knew how to treat me right.

She made sure that I was getting my shit done

Always made sure that I had a school to go to ,

a sidewalk to walk on and a street to live on.

She made sure to check dudes who tried to act hard

Knowing they was frail.

This female allowed me to learn more about her as I got older.

Her history enclosed into archives and rusty

old books collecting so much dust when I opened

them up, I coughed violently.

This female taught me to be strong

She always pushed me to be better than

who I was the day before

The way she glowed at nighttime

Gave me something to live for

That day I first got on an airplane

I ain’t wanna leave this female behind

I kept on thinking about her the entire time that I was gone

Once I came back to her , I was overjoyed.

This female taught me so much about life

She taught me more shit than most people I knew

And that says a lot about the individuals I surround myself with.

This female is my lover.

I wanna settle down with her.

I know one day, I’ll have to leave her indefinitely.

That doesn’t mean I’ll still hold her dear to me.
