Up, up, up , up, up, up, up,

Down-down, down, down, down.

Out of control you spin me,

like a top or a merry go round.

~

Hide and go seek with your feelings,

tug of war with the strings of my heart.

You’re the King of the mountain, just a small push,

and my entire world falls apart

~

These games that you play, should be obvious,

I should see all the signs, and just run

But you alter the rules when you blur all the lines,

and you play to hurt, not for fun.

~

When you get in a jab, that’s a point for you,

if you get me to cry, that’s worth three.

When I defend myself you say it’s not fair,

you get mad and then blame it on me.

~

From the outside I must look ridiculous,

pathetic, desperate and weak

But they didn’t hear all the sweet things you said

things you said made me feel complete.

~

That you is gone, he has been for sometime,

replaced with this angry, mean look alike.

One who doesn’t like me at all, can barely look at my face,

spits venomous words out of spite.

~

It took me sometime but I walked away,

like a soldier leaving a fight.

I still have flashbacks of the good times and bad,

but, I’m strong and I will be alright.
