The word think is a peculiar one,

i don't know what else to say.

But did you know, there was a time,

(before we knew each other)

that someone thought and

then they talked!

but they didn't know what they were saying?

Yes, i know,

we had to think

and invent the way we feel.

But before all that we thought about

how me and you are real.

Now don't you think that all this thinking

really has no appeal?

Since nowadays, with you and i,

and the endless scrolling hormones,

There's nothing more

to think.

And that's how power

is yielded through thoughts

in every waking hour.

So that no matter what we try to think

our hearts are led astray.

And when belief is all we've got,

(while we dance around the fire)

They strike us deep where it hurts,

turning thoughts into desire.

Something to think about: once upon a time, everything had to be invented and named. Nice poem!

  • Oooo, this was so deep! Loved your poem!
