Polite Ways To Remain Invisible, (Protected)
What I mean when I say:
"Yeah, thanks...I'm fine" (and then, silent, again)

* It's an easy answer to a question I believe, you don't really want to know the answer to.
* Added with a smile, it satisfies the need for being real.
* With a quick change of subject, we can easily talk about anything else.
* A light sarcastic tone and eye roll will lead you to believe I'm just being playful.
* Rushing you off, hoping that this answer will pacify your need to be polite.
* When said in passing, I can pretend to be too busy to pursue something deeper.
* Protecting myself from being judged or misunderstood.
* A tool used to keep others at arms length.
* I've trusted in the past and look where that got me.
* A clever mask to hide behind
****
