Thief

Give back my red

By Stephanie CPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Give back what you stole,

Your crimes have been seen.

Why not take from them,

The yellow, blue, green?

The world's had enough

Of your anger and rage.

Return us our red,

Released from its cage.

The Cardinal red,

Our hair's glorious truth.

Only here for so long

As it fades with our youth.

The raspberry blush,

It gives us away.

So innocent and sweet

As love grows each new day.

The candy red apple,

You never could miss.

It lingers on your mind,

As you long for that kiss.

And the burning red fire!

Oh, it torches our skin,

But the sun's glorious rays,

We can't help but soak in.

So you see, free the ruby!

Let carmine run wild once more

Stop the hatred and violence

And open loves door!
