Who knew being gaslighted would hurt this bad
Who knew they were lying to me, giving me false hope
I should had saw the smoke
Known the ship was sinking
I guess they didn't want me to feel shame
But its worse now, got the whole family’s hopes up
Maybe I got it, but I should had known it was an short one
I was overtaken by nerves
Next time I do better
It’s a learning curve
Just stop being shy

I feel the pain and the courage! Nice job!
Hang in there Emily, there is a job with your name on it. Just keep trying! The world is crazy anymore. It is just a learning curve.
Oof, this poem hits deep! The struggle with gaslighting and realizing the truth is tough, but there's hope in learning from it. I love the resilience in the end!
So sorry to hear, anyway it is a great save by nature.
