There Will Be a Reckoning

red

By Harper LewisPublished a day ago Updated a day ago 1 min read

sly sinister sisters of gossip

distort truth to fit a narrative

designed to demonize me to my daughter,

vindictive retaliation for what they’ll never be,

I send roses with a bad rhyme,

rosesarered, violetsareblue, somebodyspecial isthinkingofyou

from a Secret Admirer.

Blood is red, violence is true

I won’t be bested by a shrew.

About the Creator

Harper Lewis

I'm a weirdo nerd who’s extremely subversive. I like rocks, incense, and witchy stuff. Intrusive rhyme bothers me. Some of my fiction might have provoked divorce proceedings in another state.😈

Not to read too much truth from a poem but whoever is bad mouthing you to your daughter is extremely low and honestly should not have access to your or anyone else's child.
